Biography

Lynn Caldwell is a self-taught artist based in Gatineau, Quebec, whose paintings reflect her curious, joyful spirit and emotional depth. Having lived in different areas in Quebec and Ontario and visited other parts of Canada, she draws inspiration from the people, places, and experiences that have shaped her life. Lynn’s art is vibrant and playful, often featuring birds, animals, and familiar landscapes, captured with warmth and a touch of whimsy. She’s been painting since her teens, and in 2022, began sharing her work professionally—inviting others into the stories and moods behind each piece. Her brushwork is instinctive, her colours bold, and her perspective uniquely her own. Every canvas carries a piece of Lynn’s personality: thoughtful, expressive, and tuned into the quiet magic of everyday life.

Lynn shares her creative journey through her social media, and her artwork is also featured in various cafés, restaurants, and other venues throughout Ottawa and the surrounding areas.
