Biography

Galina Ponomarenko was born in the Moscow region. She studied at the National University of Visual Arts in Moscow. Galina has lived and worked in Ottawa since 1997. Over the years, Galina has taken part in personal and group art exhibitions, and her works earned awards in numerous local art events.

·        November 2016, Recipient of the First Place Award at the Ottawa Art Association Award Show.

·        September 2016, Recipient of the Ottawa Mixed Media Artists Juror’s Choice Award and Excellence Award.

·        June 2015, Winner of local Art Battle, and competed in the Ottawa Regional Finals.

·        March 2014, Honourable Mention at the Ottawa Art Association Juried Award Show.

·        January 2013, Recipient of the Ottawa Mixed Media Artists Juror’s Choice Award.

·        April 2012, Second place award at the Ottawa Art Association Award Show

·        September 2011, Recipient of the Ottawa Mixed Media Artists Award of Excellence.
