Eileen Stevenson

Watercolour

Biography

Raised in Ottawa, Eileen showed interest in art at a young age.  She received formal training with nationally known artists at Buckhorn School of Art, Loyalist, St. Lawrence, and Algonquin Colleges, along with numerous workshops.  Eileen taught a number of art workshops while working for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.  Now retired, she devotes all her time to her painting and gives group/private lessons in watercolours.  She exhibits in a number of juried exhibitions and solo/group shows each year.  Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, the United States, New Zealand, and Great Britain.

My work preserves the detail and beauty of wildlife, people, and things surrounding us every day.  Each painting is designed to complement the unique qualities of the subject, using a creative mix of colour and optimum placement of the subject within it.
