Biography
Originally from Montreal, QC, I am currently based in Orléans, ON. My lifelong passion for art has led me to participate in numerous exhibitions in Oakville and the Montreal area. Alongside my artistic practice, I have dedicated 33 years to teaching art, sharing my love for creativity with students. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts Education from the Université du Québec à Montréal and have also worked as a graphic designer for the City of Montreal.
I like working with acrylic paint; it goes well with my style. Gradient, contrast, superimposed colors and forms, transparency, textures - that is all part of my work. My current work, as well as my past work, has always been about nature. I like to explore whatever nature has to offer. I find beauty in nature, serenity, and happiness in my paintings.
My uniqueness: I like working with a spatula. It makes my paintings so perfectly imperfect. What inspires me to create art: ART has always been part of my life, starting at an early age. Studying and then teaching art is my passion — it is me.
Artist Statement
My work is deeply rooted in the beauty of nature. I strive to explore and capture the diverse offerings of the natural world, finding serenity and happiness in every stroke of my brush. Through my paintings, I aim to convey the tranquility and joy that nature inspires in me.
