Biography
Pradnya is the creative mind behind Foxlight Arts, based in Ottawa, Canada. She brings precision, balance, and beauty into her art through detailed mandala paintings.
The word “Mandala” means “Circle” or “Centre”. A mandala is a spiritual and geometric symbol representing wholeness, balance, and harmony. In Pradnya’s work, these ancient patterns come to life through acrylic paint and dotting techniques on surfaces like wood panels, coasters, and tealight holders. Each piece is handcrafted with care, blending traditional aesthetics with modern color palettes.
Customers of Foxlight Arts often describe the paintings as calming, uplifting, and meaningful. Whether used as home decor or as thoughtful gifts, these artworks bring a sense of peace, mindfulness, and individuality into everyday spaces. Every piece is unique, made to spark joy and connect with the viewer on a personal level.
Artist Statement
Art, for me, began as a way to celebrate life’s quiet, meaningful moments. In 2020, during the lockdown and my daughter’s first birthday, I picked up some paints to make a few decorations and something within me shifted. I discovered not just a hobby, but a meditative process that grounds me.
I create mandala art using acrylic paints and dotting tools, focusing on balance, symmetry, and colour harmony. Each dot and circle reflects calm, focus, and intention. My work is inspired by nature, traditional mandala forms, and the joy of creating something entirely by hand. Painting has become my form of mindfulness, a way to express beauty and bring peace, both to myself and those who connect with my work.
